Students

Our aim is to provide quality, interesting and structured dairy EMS for vet students who are seriously considering a career in a Farm Animal practice.

These placements are most valuable for students who demonstrate an enthusiasm and interest in dairy practice, we ask that you have undertaken an element of clinical teaching/have plenty of prior farm experience before your placement with us.

You can expect to be with our vets on routine fertility visits, herd health planning consults and emergency call outs, as well as spending time with our Vet Tech team vaccinating/calf scoring/mobility scoring to name a few.

We encourage students to be keen, ask questions and get involved in cases (bring a stethoscope!).

Please note that due to the size of the area we cover (up to an hours drive from the practice) your own vehicle is essential, and you may be expected to meet the team on farm.

We do not provide any accommodation for students, however there are lots of options locally.
