We are an experienced team made up of six vets, three vet techs and an office administrator.

Jon Parsons
BVetMed MRCVS – Director
Jon graduated from London vet school in 2011 and has been in farm animal only practice ever since. He returned to Cornwall in 2016 to assist on the family dairy farm and to work with a collection of local progressive dairy farms in a veterinary capacity.
His main areas of interest are infectious disease control, lameness and fertility management. Alongside clinical work Jon has previously provided farm businesses in Devon and Cornwall with consultancy through an AHDB funded project.
George Giles
BVM BVS DBR MRCVS
George graduated from Nottingham vet school in 2012 and worked in a dairy orientated practice in Somerset before moving to China in 2014 to work for Fonterra, helping to setup and operate two 7000 cow intensive dairy farms. He held responsibility for managing the animal health, welfare and biosecurity of the herds. Since then, he has spent time milking cows on the family dairy farm in Herefordshire before deciding that the place to settle was Cornwall.
In September 2020 he was awarded with a Diploma in Bovine Reproduction, a 2-year part time masters level degree through Liverpool Veterinary School, which covered all aspects of bovine fertility along with completing a dissertation on farmers attitudes to veterinary fertility intervention. He has regularly presented his research to other cattle vets from across the country.
Kim Daniels
BVSc MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon – Associate director
Kim graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2018 and worked in a farm animal practice in the New Forest, Hampshire.
She moved to Cornwall to concentrate on dairy herd health with Giles & Parsons Farm Vets.
Her main areas of interest are calf health and fertility.
Kim has successfully grown and integrated the vet tech team into our practice, which many of our farmers now see as an integral service.
When not working Kim enjoys baking with varying degrees of success.
Joana Cruse
CertAVP MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon
Joana is originally from Portugal where she graduated in 2013. She worked in Portugal for 2 years in dairy farm practice. In 2016 she decided to move to England for a new challenge and has been working in Cornwall ever since in farm animal practice.
The area where she would like to focus on is dairy, hence the decision to move to a dairy only practice. Her main interests are fertility, infectious diseases and she enjoys clinical work and surgery. She also leads our dynamic parlour testing service.
Joana has completed her Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (Cattle).
Eleanor Wettern
BVM&S MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon
Eleanor joined the practice in June 2023, having previously worked in Northern Ireland and New Zealand. Her main interests are youngstock management, surgery and fertility.

She is involved with on our mastitis investigations and is working on some new on farm culture kits to help farms better understand what mastitis pathogens are present.
​
In her spare time she enjoys exploring her new home in the South West.
Rosie Tremayne
BVSc MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon
Having qualified in 2022 Rosie joined the team in January 2024, after working for a farm animal only practice. Rosie particularly enjoys routine fertility work, along with herd health planning and investigatory work.

She also enjoys milking cows herself and has several years experience of relief milking for one of our dairy herds.
Joey Yeo
Practice Administrator
Joey is most frequently your first point of contact when phoning into the practice. A local farmers daughter who has previously worked in administrative roles for a variety of sectors, she was tailor made to join the practice!
She has her own small flock of sheep, enjoys making homemade cakes, riding her horse and walking on the moors.
We hope our clients find her as efficient, organized and conscientious as we do.
Katie Bird
Veterinary Technician, Approved TB Tester & ROMS mobility scorer
Katie joined the team in October 2021, to assist us with our growing Vet Tech service. Katie is also an Approved TB Tester and has instantly become a huge asset to the practice with her previous farm experience and happy demeanor.
Katie started relief milking and farm work in 2012 before working on a grass based dairy farm taking on grass management and foot trimming.
She went to New Zealand in 2018 to work on dairy farms across the north and south islands.
After returning home to Cornwall, she worked as an assistant herdsperson before joining our team as a Vet tech and TB tester. Her main interests are calf health and cow mobility. Outside of work she enjoys walking, paddle boarding and milking.
Hattie Rich
Veterinary Technician, Approved TB Tester & ROMS mobility scorer
Hattie joined the team in January 2023 as our tech services are in ever growing in demand.
Hattie started relief milking and dairy farm work in 2019. After working in New Zealand and Australia on farms, she came back knowing she wanted to work with farm animals long term.
She has been an experienced Vet Tech and qualified TB tester since 2020 and is on the register of ROMs mobility scorers. She enjoys working alongside our vets and farmers and has a particular interest in calf health.
When Hattie is not working she's busy at home on her partners beef farm and walking her labrador, Nelly
Jo Philp
Veterinary Technician, Approved TB Tester & ROMS mobility scorer
Jo is a local dairy farmers daughter who has worked at home milking and rearing calves and young stock. She has been part of their transition of a new robotic dairy set up. Previously Jo has worked as a Dairy Hygiene Specialist for two years where she covered mid Cornwall. She's spent the last few years as Vet tech and ATT
(TB tester) which gives her great experience prior to joining our team.
Jo is also a registered ROMs mobility scorer. She enjoys getting stuck in and loves the variety of work her job offers.
Outside of work she still helps at home on the farm when she can, enjoys competing her horse and picking up on
shoots with her two working Sprockers, Meg & Fig.
